He is highly regarded for his proficiency in performing advanced procedures such as sphincter-saving surgeries for Rectal cancer, as well as comprehensive approaches to surgeries for liver, gallbladder, pancreatic, breast, and head and neck cancers, including reconstruction procedures.

With over 8 years of experience in surgery and 5 years specializing in oncology, Dr. Murthy is a distinguished leader in the field of Surgical Oncology.

He completed his MBBS from the prestigious Bangalore Medical College, MS in General Surgery from PGIMER, Dr. RML Hospital, New Delhi, and MCh in Surgical Oncology from IMS-BHU, Varanasi. He further refined his skills through a fellowship in Minimal Access & Robotics Surgical Oncology from HCG, Bangalore.

Previously, Dr. Murthy served as an Assistant Professor & Consultant in surgical oncology at Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore, where he made significant contributions to the field.

Dr. Murthy has received acclaim for his academic achievements, being a University Gold Medalist in both MS and MCh. He has won multiple medical quiz competitions at the state and national levels, presented numerous posters and papers at national conferences, and contributed to indexed journals, thereby advancing the discourse in surgical oncology.
